Wanting to let Toyota know what they need to know
15 Feb
Welcome to TellToyota.info, I have setup this site so that people that like Toyota’s can come here and discuss what you think Toyota needs to know whether its good or bad. Big car companies are now often checking sites like these to hear feedback on what they are doing. So I started this site so they can see.
If you have something that you feel needs to be covered on the main page why not use the contact us page and let me know an I will post it up.
There will be a forum up soon so we can get talking.

Wondering if Toyota Will release a version of this car even if its a detuned model and call it the Supra.
So many die hard Supra fans would die if this ever happened because they wouldn’t be able to get to the dealership in time to get there hands on one.

Report: Toyota FT-86 price increase and increase in age demographic
Autocar is now reporting that the Toyota FT-86 pricing will be higher than originally planned. The FT-86 price will be upped in Japan from the original $20,000 starting price to $23,000 (with a fully loaded FT-86 being approximately $26,000). The FT-86 development team is also planning on reducing fuel consumption from the Subaru boxer engine (instead of increasing power).
Finally, in terms of target demographic, Toyota has now upped the increased target buyer age from 30’s to the 40’s. This is due to Toyota market research which indicated that not as many young buyers would purchase the FT-86 coupe as the company originally predicted. Discuss this report

This report was untrue!! look further down the page to see updated story!
The upcoming FT-86 the most talked about rear wheel drive sports coupe has been the most talked about car since the 1980’s Toyota Corolla AE86. Since reading about the new CALTY design that might change the way the current conecpt looks sounds likes a bad idea to me.
This is the CALTY design that has been rumored to change to, but I belive the current concept that was shown at the Toyota Motor Show late last year is a much better looking car.
So I hope Toyota listen to the rest of the community that also believe what I do and that they shouldn’t change from the current design.

Well Toyota has shot themself in the foot, they where claiming to be reliable and well built cars but reading the news today and finding out that they had to recall 437,000 hybrids Priuses world wide it makes you start to wonder.
I hope that Toyota can come back from this and still keep their image.
“I don’t see Toyota as an infallible company that never makes mistakes,” President Akio Toyoda said at a news conference Tuesday. “We will face up to the facts and correct the problem, putting customers’ safety and convenience first.”
The number of vehicles recalled globally by Toyota Motor Corp. now has ballooned to 8.5 million, including for floor mats that can trap gas pedals and faulty gas pedals that are slow to return to the idle position. The 2010 model of the Prius _ the world’s top-selling hybrid and Japan’s top-selling car _ wasn’t part of the earlier recalls.
There have been about 200 complaints in Japan and the U.S. about a delay when the brakes in the Prius were pressed in cold conditions and on some bumpy roads. The delay doesn’t indicate a brake failure. The company says the problem can be fixed in 40 minutes with new software that oversees the controls of the antilock brakes.

Well as we all know in Australia how well the large sedan sells like the commadore and falcon, one because of the built in Australia heritage and the fact that the are big an real wheel drive so reading around on Toyota’s site I seen a car that could give the Commadore and Falcon a run for there money.

The Toyota X comes with two motor options both V6 one 2.5 with 152kw and then a 3.5 with 232kw so they are giving both the Commadore and Falcon a run for there money in power out put and the inside looks like it belongs in a BMW

The Toyota X has state of the art safety features all models come with seven airbags including SRS side airbags, SRS curtain shield airbags and a driver’s seat knee airbag, VSC (Vehicle Stability Control), TRC (Traction Control) and Active Headrests up front to reduce stress on the neck in a rear-end collision.
The sedan is also offered with a Pre-Crash Brake Assist system, a Pre-Crash Brake system and Pre-Crash Seatbelts, Intelligent AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System), Radar Cruise Control system equipped with a brake-control function and a Hill-start Assist Control function.
If sold in Australia they should price it around the $35000 – $40000 for the base model and $50000 – $60000, then I think they would sell well.
So please listen Toyota.

I believe that Australia is missing some Toyota models that would sell well i think like the Scion tC
A sporty 2 door coupe that is said to have replace the Celica. Australian’s grew to love and modify it. Since we didn’t get a replacement for it I think it would be a great addition to the Toyota line up over here you could even get a supercharge option for it that helps the modifying market lots if it can come from factory.
There is talk of a newer model coming out shortly so I hope Australia gets this.

Well I am glade to hear that the redesign rumor that I posted earlier is untrue.
From a recent photoshot that is to be used at the Geneva show.

There have been some filthy rumors floating ’round the internet about a possible redesign of the almost-too-good-to-be-true Toyota FT-86. Turns out, they’re completely untrue.
A two-door Toyota that’s rear wheel drive, Subaru boxer-powered and actually pretty cool looking?! Unpossible! No, it’s true, but the pessimists at Japanese buff book Holiday Auto ran a salacious tale of redesign claiming infighting between Toyota Europe Design Development and Toyota Technical Center’s design groups and a pending redesign as a result.
Well, Jaromir Cech, senior designer at Toyota Europe Design Development, has come out and quashed those rumors. The FT-86 we know and can’t wait for is in no danger of a major redesign. The only thing the car’s in for is dimension-stretching to meet crash and pedestrian impact requirements. Also, a realistic interior treatment.
We’re told to expect the production version of the FT-86 at Geneva. We hope so — it’s a Toyota that’s actually got us giddy with excitement
Couldn’t of said it better myself. YAYA!!!
